Misha... Our beloved cat in Malaysia.

This is Misha.

Say hello to her.

Got her as a gift for my wife on the 2nd of January 2004.

Misha doesn't meow. Not at all. She's a VERY quiet cat. The most u can get out of her is a short purr.

Misha also loves to hold hands. Especially when she's sleeping.

She won't let go until u sleep as well.

She is now nearing obesity. But it's fine.

We love having a fat cat around the house.

Maybe thinking about renaming her to Garfieldess, if she keeps on enlarging.

Unfortuntely, Misha is far away in Malaysia.

We miss her very much.

Sometimes we feel like going home just to see her, and nothing else.

Oh well, c'est la vie. Hope u enjoy the pics.

Assalamualaikum..

Happy belated new year.

Felt not to celebrate this year, what with all the Tsunami tragedy going on.

Aiii...such is life. One fell swoop, and existence as we know it is wiped out the face of the Earth, as if Allah had white-washed the canvas of Life.

On the bright side though, everything that happens, does so for a REASON. We just have to figure out what it is.

Found out today, Yati Zain (wife's best friend) has her own blog as well...if u're reading this, Hai Yati! Also, Sert a.ka. Tsue, another of my wife's friends, also has a great blog going on as well... Right on Tsue! Love the colourful language use...

Gotta go now, gotta study...Exams. As I said, calm before the storm. Storm comes next week.

The beauty that is the Adhan (Call for Prayer)...

I was just listening to Radio Muzik online, when the time approached 5.50am (Malaysian time).

Time for Subuh prayers, accompanied with the Morning Adhan.

It was beautiful... Even though I knew it was just a recorded voice on the airwaves, it moved me in a way that I've rarely felt before.

Such, that it brought tears down my eyes.

You can't here the beautiful call here in the UK. It is against the law to broadcast the Adhan out loud. You would need to be INSIDE a mosque to listen to the call for prayer.

I miss Malaysia. First thing when I get back, my wife and I are going to sit outside at night, just to hear the bilal serenade the melodies of Allah for Isya'.

Then we will follow Isya' with Zikir and Solat sunat... maybe even Tahajjud.
Hopefully, if God permits... Insyaallah.

Don't do great things,

I just finished my design work for my website project.

It's 8.00 am...Haven't slept all night.

My eyes are dry, my throat's hoarse...Urgghhh...

Hate burning the midnight oil.

Today I am born.

2:20am on a Sunday.

Everyone I know is asleep, yet I am awake.

There is a beauty to watching people sleep. The gentle peacefulness that resides in the human being's ability to lie motionless in a semi-conscious state, yet still be alive with activity... deep down inside.

Deep down inside, I am asleep.

Hmmm...

I do hope you're reading this in daylight.

Or else, give my regards to the red-eyed guy standing behind you.
